ACCESS TO THE BACCHUS MARSH PONY CLUB INC.

OUR GROUNDS AND EQUIPMENT ARE MADE AVAILABLE WITH CERTAIN EXPECTATIONS

  •  All users are granted access on the understanding that the grounds and equipment will be treated with respect and only used for the intended purpose. 

  • You may use the day yards but is expected that manure is placed in the area provided.

  • All breakages or damage or dangerous items must be reported to the booking officer/committee 

  • Lunging should only be undertaken in the Round Yard.  Lunging should not be undertaken on the main sand arena or on the cross‐country course.

  • The cross country may be closed at times due to wet weather to make sure the grounds don’t get bogged up and the jumps remain safe for the take‐off and landing.

  • Do not access any bunted areas.  At times parts of the grounds may be closed and bunted for maintenance.

  • There are trials held on the trotting track adjacent to the BMPC grounds on the 2nd and 4th Saturday morning of the month (approximately 8am – 12noon).  This is just for riders to be forewarned of the harness horses around.

  • BMPC hold their rally on the 1st Sunday of each month (except January) where the grounds will be closed from 8am – 5pm.

  • Inappropriate behaviour or use will result in cancellation of key membership.

  • The Camp draft facility is not for use by members or key members.

THE SAFETY OF RIDERS, HORSES AND ONLOOKERS IS OUR PRIMARY CONCERN

• You may not bring a horse or ride on the grounds without an accompanying supervising adult, capable of managing an emergency situation

• Horses are not to be left unattended overnight.

• All riders must wear protective clothing – with the minimum helmet, riding boots.  Body protectors are required for all riders using the cross‐country course.

• Please be respectful of visitors or users on the grounds – mounted or unmounted.

• Please report any accidents or incidents to the booking officer/committee – this can be done through the BMPC Members – Facebook Page or email bmponyclub@hotmail.com

• Please ride within your own and your horses’ capabilities.

• At all times horses are to be cared for in accordance with guidelines set out by our club or association and animal welfare guidelines.
